With over 20 years of clinical experience, our practice provides individualised therapeutic support tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances. We are dedicated to delivering comprehensive clinical psychological care in a respectful, ethical, and supportive environment.
Professional Standards and Legislative Compliance
TT Psychology maintains the highest standards of ethical practice, professional conduct, and confidentiality. All psychologists at TT Psychology are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and practise in accordance with:
- The Psychology Board of Australia Code of Conduct
- The Australian Psychological Society (APS) Code of Ethics (where applicable)
- Relevant professional practice standards and guidelines
Our management of personal and health information complies with:
- The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
- The Australian Privacy Principles (APPs)
- The Health Records Act 2001 (Vic), as amended
We take reasonable steps to ensure that all personal and health information is collected, stored, used, and disclosed in accordance with these legal and ethical obligations.
Health and Safety
TT Psychology prioritises the health and wellbeing of patients and staff and complies with all applicable government health regulations. The clinic reserves the right to convert in-person appointments to Telehealth where clinically or medically appropriate.
For all in-person appointments, patients must:
- Sign in using the clinic iPad
- Attend only if feeling well
- Change to Telehealth if experiencing flu-like symptoms, COVID-19 symptoms, testing positive for COVID-19 or Influenza A or B, or gastro symptoms within the past 24 hours
Requests to change to Telehealth must be emailed to info@ttpsych.com.au by 8:00am on the day of a weekday appointment or by 5:00pm on the Friday prior to a weekend appointment. This policy has been implemented on health and safety grounds.
Telehealth / Online Therapy
Patients may choose to receive therapy via Telehealth where clinically appropriate. By agreeing to a Telehealth session, patients provide informed consent to receive care online. Patients are responsible for ensuring they have access to a secure internet connection, a device with video and audio capabilities, and a private, safe environment for sessions. Patients must minimise interruptions and maintain confidentiality during sessions and report any technical difficulties to the clinic as soon as possible. Telehealth is not suitable for emergencies or situations with immediate risk to self or others. Therapists may convert a session to in-person if clinically necessary.
Cultural Safety and Inclusivity
TT Psychology is committed to providing care that is respectful, inclusive, and culturally safe. We respect the diverse cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds of patients and their families, promote equity and inclusivity in all interactions, tailor therapy approaches to individual cultural needs and family contexts, and adhere to professional guidelines regarding non-discrimination and cultural competence.
New Patients and Consent
All patients under 18 years of age require an initial parent or guardian session prior to the commencement of ongoing therapy. Patients aged 18 years and over may engage independently. All patients must complete an intake form and provide personal and payment details online prior to receiving services. For patients under 18 with separated or divorced parents, consent from both parents or guardians is required.
Clinic Location
TT Psychology is located at 1A Riddell Parade, Elsternwick VIC 3185. The consulting rooms are accessible via stairs only. Patients must sign in upon arrival. Pets are not permitted in the clinic.
Services
TT Psychology provides psychological therapy, child psychology, art therapy and counselling, EMDR therapy, parenting support, ADHD, autism, academic, and cognitive assessments, social groups and programs. Consultation duration and fees vary depending on the service provided. Clinicians may use secure AI-assisted medical scribing software to support clinical documentation, and patients consent to this for documentation purposes. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
Payments
All payments are processed securely online via Halaxy within 24 hours of appointments. All patients who do not attend the appointment cannot have the invoice billed under their name. We are unable to transfer an invoice from one patient to another after the invoice has been paid, even if both patients attended an appointment together. We will notify you if there are any payment issues and if we are unable to process payment due to insufficient funds or incorrect card details, patients must update their details within three days of the appointment. If this has not been done, a late payment fee of $11 will be added to the original payment.
If there is an outstanding amount on a patient’s account due to the above reasons and it has been longer than seven days since the original appointment, future appointments will be cancelled. In addition, if the patient’s next appointment is within the seven days, the appointment will be cancelled after three days of not receiving payment. Please note not all cards are accepted through our payment system. It is at the discretion of the clinic to change the payment process at any time during the course of therapy and patients will be notified accordingly.
Medicare and Referrals
Medicare rebates may be available through a Mental Health Care Plan, Eating Disorder Plan from a GP or a referral letter from a Paediatrician. Parent sessions cannot be claimed under a child’s referral; parents must have their own referral to receive a rebate. TT Psychology can claim on behalf of patients once the plan and referral letter addressed to the clinic are received, and the rebate will be shown in the payment receipt. Neurodevelopmental assessments, such as ADHD or Autism assessments, may be eligible for a Medicare rebate only if referred by a specialist according to current Medicare guidelines. It remains the patient’s responsibility to ensure that all referrals are current and valid to receive Medicare rebates.
Private Health Insurance Claiming
TT Psychology does not process private health insurance claims directly. Patients are required to pay for services in full and claim reimbursement from their insurer independently. Patients cannot claim the same service through both Medicare and private health insurance.
NDIS Claiming
TT Psychology does not process NDIS claims. Patients accessing NDIS funding must pay for services in full and submit claims independently.
Fees and Rebates
Current fees and available rebates are listed on the website. Reports, letters, and special consideration forms may incur additional fees, which are not eligible for Medicare rebates.
Cancellation Policy
Patients are requested to provide adequate notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If your appointment is on a weekday, please email by 8:00am on the morning of your appointment. If your appointment is on a weekend, please email by 5:00pm on the Friday before your appointment. Failure to provide notice or non-payment may result in late fees or cancellation. Please refer to the full cancellation policy on the website for further details.
Late Arrivals and Missed Appointments
Patients are expected to attend appointments on time. If a patient arrives late, the session will still end at the scheduled time, and full session fees will apply. Missed appointments without sufficient notice may incur fees and affect future bookings. Repeated late arrivals or non-attendance may result in a review of ongoing care arrangements.
Opening Hours
Our clinicians work on different days; refer to the website for individual practice hours. Services are offered in-person and via Telehealth.
Communication
Patients may contact the clinic via phone or email during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm). Clinicians do not provide advice outside scheduled appointments.
Contact Outside of Business Hours
In emergencies, patients should contact their GP, nearest Emergency Department, or an appropriate crisis support service. A list of crisis and support numbers is available on the TT Psychology website.
Patient Conduct
Patients and families are expected to treat staff respectfully. Aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in termination of services.
