Assessment Appointment/s

Based on the initial appointment, the psychologist confirms the required assessment type, which could range from Autism and ADHD/ADD assessments to cognitive and academic evaluations.

The assessment is specifically chosen to meet the individual’s needs, with the duration and number of appointments varying depending on the assessment type.

Individuals attend the assessment sessions.

Feedback Appointment

After completing the assessment, the results and reports are provided in a feedback session, where our psychologists discuss the findings and next steps.

Assessment Types

Autism is a neurodiversity and may impact how a person thinks, feels, interacts with other and experiences their environment. Individuals with Autism may have sensitivities to sensory stimuli, have specific interests and may engage in repetitive patterns of behaviours.

A comprehensive Autism assessment identifies whether an individual meets the criteria for a diagnosis, as well as taking the time to explore and understand how the individual experiences their world in order to support them in accessing the best intervention.

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodiversity and may impact how a person thinks, feels, interacts with other and experiences their environment. Individuals with the inattentive component have difficulty with maintaining concentration, remaining organised, and may be easily distracted. Individuals with the hyperactive/impulsive component may have trouble sitting still, waiting their turn, and often need to fidget or talk.

A comprehensive ADHD assessment explores whether an individual meets the criteria for a diagnosis and whether they exhibit a predominantly inattentive, hyperactive/impulsive, or combined presentation.

These assessments evaluate an individual’s current academic performance across areas such as maths, reading, writing, spelling, listening, and oral language. Results indicate whether an individual has learning difficulties and if they meet criteria for a diagnosis of a Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), including Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia. Our goal is to provide the necessary support to enhance academic success and self-esteem.

We offer cognitive assessments to explore reasoning, working memory, and processing speed, providing insights into intellectual abilities, giftedness, intellectual disabilities, school readiness, and other developmental challenges. These assessments are essential for supporting academic growth and overall well-being.

Sensory Profiling Assessments help identify sensory preferences, sensitivities, and challenges, enabling individuals to thrive in different environments. They are particularly useful for individuals who struggle with sensory overload, have difficulty adapting to change, or have sensory-related behavioural difficulties.
