Helping You Navigate Life’s Challenges

Life can be complex, and it’s normal to experience periods of stress, low mood, or uncertainty. However, this doesn’t mean you need to manage these moments alone.

At TT Psychology, our adult and young adult psychology services are designed to help you in the way you need. If you want to understand your experiences, gain clarity, and develop practical tools, we aim to help with evidence-based therapy and our warm, collaborative approach.

Ways We Explore Your Experience

Your therapy is tailored to suit your individual needs, goals, and preferences. Based on your unique situation, this may incorporate evidence-driven methods such as:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT):

Helping you recognise and transform unproductive thoughts and behaviours, while fostering the development of healthier, more adaptive patterns.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT):

Guiding you through the process of embracing challenging emotions, defining your core values, and taking purposeful steps towards a fulfilling life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy:

Equipping you with practical tools for managing emotions, tolerating distress, and fostering stronger, healthier relationships.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT):

Teaching practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and building healthier interpersonal relationships.

Motivational Interviewing:

Assisting you in discovering and enhancing your motivation for change, particularly during challenging decisions or transitions.

Talk Therapy (Psychotherapy):

Engaging in empathetic, open conversations to reflect on your experiences, helping you gain deeper insights and strengthen self-awareness.

Family Therapy:

When beneficial, we assist families in enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering healthier, more connected relationships.

Internal Family Systems

Gain insight into your reactions, ease internal conflicts, and develop a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Have a Question?

Therapy at TT Psychology is collaborative and tailored to your individual needs. Each session combines discussion, reflection, and practical strategies to help you understand your experiences, work through challenges, and develop skills that you can apply in daily life.

Our services are highly personalised. Our clinicians combine evidence-based therapy with collaborative goal-setting to ensure your treatment is tailored to your unique needs. Key elements include:

  • Initial session to understand your goals, strengths, and challenges
  • Personalised treatment outlining therapy approaches, strategies, and practical exercises
  • Ongoing review of your progress, with adjustments as needed to keep you moving forward
  • Practical strategies and coping tools that can be applied in your everyday life

Most patients attend therapy weekly or fortnightly at the beginning, depending on their goals and needs. Then, as you progress, the frequency of your sessions will reduce. Together with your therapist, you will discuss the best schedule for you and adjust it as required.
