Elina is a General Psychologist who completed her studies at Monash University in the Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology program. Elina has experience providing extensive assessments (cognitive, academic and behavioural) as well as psychotherapy sessions to young people presenting with behavioural and emotional difficulties and those struggling to form and maintain social connections.
Elina strives to create a person-centred, welcoming, and safe environment for her patients to feel supported to discuss their current difficulties. Elina enjoys encouraging the well-being and development of her patients by varying her intervention strategies to best fit their situation, personal attributes, and skills. She has a strong interest in working with young people who experience eating difficulties, poor body image, relationship difficulties, sleep issues, and anxiety. She also enjoys working with children presenting with developmental concerns related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptomatology. She engages with a range of evidence-based treatments including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), play therapy, behavioural therapy, and mindfulness. Elina believes in working collaboratively with families and other professionals to help young people achieve their therapy goals.
