Autism is a neurodiversity and may impact how a person thinks, feels, interacts with other and experiences their environment. Individuals with Autism may have sensitivities to sensory stimuli, have specific interests and may engage in repetitive patterns of behaviours. A comprehensive Autism assessment identifies whether an individual meets the criteria for a diagnosis, as well as taking the time to explore and understand how the individual experiences their world in order to support them in accessing the best intervention.
This assessment includes:
- At least 4 assessment consultations
- Questionnaires that can be completed by the patient, their parents and teachers if applicable
- Report writing
WISC-V / WPPSI - IV
A comprehensive clinical tool which allows for assessment of cognitive capabilities of children aged 2 years and above and adults.
ADOS-2
A semi-structured assessment used to explore and diagnose Autism through observing an individual’s communication, social interaction, play, and restricted and repetitive behaviours.
ASRS
Standardised measures completed by teachers and parents/caregivers to help identify symptoms and behaviours associated with Autism in children and adolescents aged 2-18 years.
BASC-3
A comprehensive set of questionnaires used to understand the behaviours and emotions of children and adolescents from the perspective of teachers, parents, and the child themselves.
VINELAND-3
The Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales (VABS) (Vineland-3) is a standardized assessment tool that utilizes semi-structured interview to measure adaptive behavior .

The initial patient consult and feedback consult can be claimed with Medicare (if you have a valid Mental Health Care Plan and referral letter) or Private Health Insurance (if you have cover for psychology).
In addition, there may be rebates with Medicare for the assessment appointments for patients under the age of 25. Please contact us for further information.
1. All patients must book in for an initial patient consultation (50 min). This will either be for an adult or the parents of a child who is having the assessment.
This consultation is $290 and may be claimed with Medicare or Private Health Insurance.
2. After the initial patient consultation the assessments are confirmed and we will contact you with the full fee and appointments to be made. The duration and number of appointments depend on the assessment type. This fee also includes report writing.
The assessment fee ranges between $1,360 - $5,500
3. A feedback consultation (50 min) is scheduled for the adult or the parents of the child. The assessment report is given during this consultation.
This consultation is $290 and may be claimed with Medicare or Private Health Insurance.
