Registered Art Therapist and Counsellor
Romi Kupfer is a creative arts therapist and counsellor with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents and young adults in artistic settings. Romi is passionate about connecting and working alongside young people with diverse backgrounds and abilities. She is particularly driven by supporting young people during difficult periods and transitional stages in their lives.
Romi is passionate about supporting young people to find their voice and hold agency for themselves through the creative arts and recognises the power creative arts has in fostering, connecting and supporting young people and feels privileged to be able to provide this support to individuals and groups.
Romi has completed her youth mental health first aid training, has written for the Arts Wellbeing Collective magazine, a mental health initiative run by Arts Centre Melbourne and has volunteered in the wards at the Royal Children’s Hospital. Romi is a graduate from the Victorian College of the Arts and has facilitated workshops with professional theatre companies alongside working in community settings and in schools across both primary and secondary, in mainstream and flexible learning environments.
Romi's specialises in using different art forms to support the creative expression of her patients. These include but are not limited to: writing, drawing, painting, crafting, movement, dance, song, and drama. She aims to use her extensive experience in the creative arts and arts facilitation, to support her patients to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Romi sees children, adolescents, young adults and parents.
Romi consults the following hours:
Fridays 1.30pm - 5.30pm
Saturdays 9am - 6pm
Sundays (monthly) 9am - 1.30pm
Romi also facilitates social groups on Monday afternoons
