Multiple Assessment Appointments
A series of appointments helps us build a detailed understanding of the individual’s presentation, needs and experiences.
Detailed Questionnaires
Questionnaires may be completed by the individual, parents and teachers, depending on the circumstances, to gather information about behaviours and experiences in different settings.
Professional Report Writing
A comprehensive report summarises the assessment findings, outlining relevant ADHD symptoms and recommendations for support.
Tools Utilised in an ADHD Assessment
- WISC-V / WPPSI-IV: Cognitive assessment tools can help provide insight into areas such as memory and processing speed for children aged 2+ through to adulthood.
- BASC-3: This tool assesses emotional and behavioural patterns related to ADHD, drawing on feedback from the individual as well as parents and teachers where appropriate.
- ACE / ACE+: ACE and ACE+ are semi-structured interviews used to explore ADHD symptoms in children and adults respectively.
- Conners 3: Designed for children aged 6–18, these rating scales gather information about ADHD symptoms from parents, teachers and the individual.
Fees and Rebates for ADHD Assessments
The base fee for our comprehensive ADHD Assessment is $1,445. Additional fees may apply depending on the specific assessments required, with a clear breakdown provided after the initial appointment. Rebates may be available as follows:
Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebates may be available for eligible patients. Please contact us for further information.
Private Health Insurance
Rebates for the initial and feedback sessions may be available through private health insurance with psychology cover. Eligibility varies by fund and policy, so please confirm with your provider.
Additional Rebates
Patients under 25 may be eligible for Medicare rebates on selected assessment sessions. Contact our team for more information.
Booking Process
We’ve designed our booking process to make accessing ADHD assessment services clear, simple and easy to navigate.
Initial Appointment (50 minutes)
The assessment process begins with an initial appointment for adults or for parents arranging an assessment for their child. This session is $300 and may be eligible for a Medicare or private health insurance rebate.
Assessment Confirmation
After the initial consultation, we identify the required assessments and provide a clear breakdown of expected fees. Costs include report writing and can vary depending on the scope and complexity of the evaluation.
Assessment Appointments
During these appointments, the clinician conducts the formal assessment using standardised tests and online questionnaires to build a detailed understanding of the individual’s needs and experiences.
Feedback Appointment (50 minutes)
A feedback consultation is provided to explain the assessment results, discuss recommendations and outline possible next steps. This session is $300 and may be eligible for a Medicare or private health insurance rebate.
