ADHD Assessments Designed to Support Mental Health and Wellbeing

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments can help build a clearer understanding of attention, focus and self-regulation concerns. We work with adults, children and teenagers using a thoughtful, neuro-affirming and supportive assessment process.

For some people, ADHD mainly affects attention, organisation and concentration. For others, restlessness, energy and impulsive behaviour may be more noticeable. Many people experience features of both patterns.

What Is Involved in an ADHD Assessment?

Our ADHD assessment process for Caulfield residents is structured around your individual circumstances, with a focus on careful evaluation and practical recommendations. This service includes:

Multiple Assessment Appointments

Using more than one appointment allows us to gather a broader picture of the individual’s symptoms and circumstances.

Detailed Questionnaires

The individual completes questionnaires, with input from parents and teachers where relevant, to help build a broader understanding of behaviours across home, school and other environments.

Professional Report Writing

A comprehensive report summarises the assessment findings, outlining relevant ADHD symptoms and recommendations for support.

ADHD Assessment Questions and Answers

ADHD can present in adults through challenges with attention, organisation, time management and impulse control. A comprehensive assessment may help determine whether these experiences are related to ADHD.

Adult ADHD diagnosis typically involves a detailed assessment using interviews, questionnaires and other relevant evaluation tools. This helps build a clearer picture of symptoms and how they may be influencing daily life.

CBT may form part of support for adults with ADHD, alongside recommendations from the assessment process. Therapy can focus on organisation, managing attention and building practical coping skills.

People experiencing ongoing attention, impulsivity or executive functioning difficulties may benefit from an adult ADHD assessment. The process can help determine whether these experiences are consistent with ADHD and support recommendations for therapy or other strategies.
