ADHD Assessments Designed to Support Mental Health and Wellbeing

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments can help build a clearer understanding of attention, focus and self-regulation concerns. We work with adults, children and teenagers using a thoughtful, neuro-affirming and supportive assessment process.

ADHD is commonly described in inattentive, hyperactive/impulsive or combined presentations. This means challenges may relate more to focus and organisation, movement and impulsivity, or a mix of both.

What Is Involved in an ADHD Assessment?

Our ADHD assessment process for Ormond residents is thorough, individualised and designed to support a clear understanding of your needs. The service includes:

Multiple Assessment Appointments

Multiple appointments help us develop a more complete understanding of the individual’s symptoms, experiences and needs.

Detailed Questionnaires

We use questionnaires completed by the individual and, when relevant, by parents and teachers to better understand how behaviours and experiences may vary across different environments.

Professional Report Writing

A comprehensive report summarises the assessment findings, outlining relevant ADHD symptoms and recommendations for support.

Adult ADHD diagnosis typically involves a detailed assessment using interviews, questionnaires and other relevant evaluation tools. This helps build a clearer picture of symptoms and how they may be influencing daily life.

Cognitive behavioural therapy can be incorporated into ADHD support to explore practical ways of managing attention, organisation and related day-to-day challenges.

Adult ADHD assessments may be helpful for people experiencing ongoing difficulties with focus, impulsivity or executive functioning. The assessment process can explore whether ADHD may be contributing to these challenges and help inform appropriate support strategies.
