ADHD Assessment
ADHD Assessments Designed to Support Mental Health and Wellbeing
An Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessment in Melbourne can help provide greater clarity around challenges with attention, focus and self-regulation. Whether the assessment is for you, your child or your teenager, our psychologists near Glen Huntly take a compassionate, neuro-affirming and individualised approach throughout the process.
ADHD can present in different ways. Some people experience more difficulty with focus, organisation and staying on task, while others may show more restlessness, impulsivity and high activity levels. Many experience a combination of both.
What Does an ADHD Assessment Include?
Our ADHD assessment process for Glen Huntly residents is thorough, individualised and designed to support a clear understanding of your needs. The service includes:
Multiple Assessment Appointments
Multiple sessions give us time to explore symptoms and relevant information in greater depth, helping form a more well-rounded picture.
Detailed Questionnaires
We use questionnaires completed by the individual and, when relevant, by parents and teachers to better understand how behaviours and experiences may vary across different environments.
Professional Report Writing
The assessment findings are presented in a detailed report, providing an overview of ADHD-related symptoms and practical recommendations for support.

Tools Utilised in an ADHD Assessment
- WISC-V / WPPSI-IV: These cognitive assessment tools evaluate areas such as memory, processing speed and other cognitive abilities in children aged 2+ and adults.
- BASC-3: Behavioural assessment information is collected from the individual, parents and teachers to provide insight into emotional and behavioural experiences across settings.
- ACE / ACE+: A structured interview process is used to support ADHD assessment, with ACE for children and ACE+ for adults.
- Conners 3: Designed for children aged 6–18, these rating scales gather information about ADHD symptoms from parents, teachers and the individual.
