Multiple Assessment Appointments
Multiple appointments help us develop a more complete understanding of the individual’s symptoms, experiences and needs.
Detailed Questionnaires
Questionnaires are completed by the individual and, where appropriate, by parents and teachers to provide insight into behaviours and experiences across different settings.
Professional Report Writing
A written report brings together the assessment findings, helping clarify ADHD symptoms and outlining recommendations based on the individual’s needs.
Tools Utilised in an ADHD Assessment
- WISC-V / WPPSI-IV: These tools assess cognitive abilities across children and adults, including areas such as memory, processing speed and related thinking skills.
- BASC-3: This behavioural assessment gathers information about emotional and behavioural patterns from the perspectives of the individual, parents and teachers.
- ACE / ACE+: A structured interview process is used to support ADHD assessment, with ACE for children and ACE+ for adults.
- Conners 3: Designed for children aged 6–18, these rating scales gather information about ADHD symptoms from parents, teachers and the individual.
Fees and Rebates for ADHD Assessments
The base fee for our comprehensive ADHD Assessment is $1,445. Additional fees may apply depending on the specific assessments required, with a clear breakdown provided after the initial appointment. Rebates may be available as follows:
Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebates may be available for eligible patients. Please contact us for further information.
Private Health Insurance
Private health rebates may be available for the initial and feedback sessions if your policy includes psychology cover. Please check with your health fund or contact us for more information.
Additional Rebates
Some assessment appointments may attract a Medicare rebate for patients under 25, depending on eligibility. Please get in touch to learn more.
Booking Process
We aim to make the ADHD assessment booking process as straightforward and supportive as possible.
Initial Appointment (50 minutes)
The first step is an initial appointment for adults or parents seeking an assessment for their child. The fee is $300 with Medicare or private health rebates potentially available depending on eligibility.
Assessment Confirmation
After your first appointment, we outline the recommended assessments and provide a clear fee estimate. Assessment costs include report writing and may vary based on the complexity of the evaluation.
Assessment Appointments
Formal assessment is completed during these appointments, with the clinician guiding the individual through a series of standardised tests. Online questionnaires may also be provided to collect additional information for the evaluation.
Feedback Appointment (50 minutes)
During the feedback consultation, your psychologist will talk through the results, explain the recommendations and discuss what may come next. This appointment is $300 and may be claimable through Medicare or private health insurance, depending on eligibility.
