ADHD Assessment
Supporting Wellbeing With Comprehensive ADHD Assessments
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments can help build a clearer understanding of attention, focus and self-regulation concerns. Our psychologists near Armadale work with adults, children and teenagers using a thoughtful, neuro-affirming and supportive assessment process.
For some people, ADHD mainly affects attention, organisation and concentration. For others, restlessness, energy and impulsive behaviour may be more noticeable. Many people experience features of both patterns.
What Does an ADHD Assessment Include?
Our ADHD assessment process for Armadale residents is thorough, individualised and designed to support a clear understanding of your needs. The service includes:
Multiple Assessment Appointments
Multiple appointments help us develop a more complete understanding of the individual’s symptoms, experiences and needs.
Detailed Questionnaires
Questionnaires may be completed by the individual, parents and teachers, depending on the circumstances, to gather information about behaviours and experiences in different settings.
Professional Report Writing
A comprehensive report summarises the assessment findings, outlining relevant ADHD symptoms and recommendations for support.

Tools Utilised in an ADHD Assessment
- WISC-V / WPPSI-IV: These assessments explore a range of cognitive abilities, including memory and processing speed, in children aged 2+ and adults.
- BASC-3: This behavioural assessment gathers information about emotional and behavioural patterns from the perspectives of the individual, parents and teachers.
- ACE / ACE+: ACE and ACE+ are semi-structured interviews used to explore ADHD symptoms in children and adults respectively.
- Conners 3: Designed for children aged 6–18, these rating scales gather information about ADHD symptoms from parents, teachers and the individual.
