ADHD Assessment Elsternwick
Supporting Mental Health Through Comprehensive ADHD Assessments
An Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessment aims to provide the clarity you need better to understand attention, focus, and self-regulation challenges. Whether you’re looking for an evaluation for yourself or your young child or teenager, we take a neuro-affirming, compassionate, and understanding approach to every assessment.
ADHD often appears in two main patterns: one where challenges sit mostly around focus, organisation and daydreaming (inattentive), and another where movement, energy and impulsivity are more prominent (hyperactive/impulsive). Many people experience a blend of both.
What is Included in an ADHD Assessment
Our ADHD assessment process is thorough, personalised, and structured to provide an accurate diagnosis and actionable recommendations. This service includes:
Multiple Assessment Appointments
Multiple appointments allow us to capture a complete and nuanced picture of the individual's symptoms and needs.
Detailed Questionnaires
Questionnaires are completed by the individual and, where relevant, by parents and teachers, offering insights into behaviours and experiences across various settings.
Professional Report Writing
A comprehensive report summarises the assessment findings, providing clarity on ADHD symptoms and recommendations for support.

Tools Utilised in an ADHD Assessment
- WISC-V / WPPSI-IV: These cognitive assessment tools evaluate cognitive abilities in children (aged 2+) and adults, offering insights into key areas like memory and processing speed.
- BASC-3: This behavioural assessment captures emotional and behavioural aspects of ADHD from the perspectives of teachers, parents, and the individual.
